Taking advantage of the beautiful weather, for January at least, was almost mandatory on Monday. The Great Swamp isn’t exactly teeming with visible wildlife this time of year, but we saw lots of ice sculptures. LF also spotted a red-headed woodpecker.

We’re getting a little punchy here. It was a beautiful day — sunny and a nice temperature — to walk up-and-down the rows in three different cemeteries looking for headstones that matched the names. We got a lot of exercise, but didn’t find too much of immediate use. Still, with views like this how can you complain?

Leave a CommentYesterday a friend and I took advantage of the beautiful weather go out and take some pictures in the Swamp. August is the “high season,” with lush flowering shrubs and plants, plus abundant frogs and turtles. Lots of turtles.
Leave a CommentI took advantage of the nice weather on Monday to take a walk through parts of the Great Swamp and take some pictures. It had rained for two days before, and it was a swamp to begin with, but it was still a nice walk.
