A lot has changed since 1979, but yet this last weekend found me back at 86th and West End, just a block from where R&R hosted me for a week in 1979 while I got my bearings, found a job, and found an apartment. In retrospect, it’s amazing I stuck. In retrospect, I’m very fortunate.
