Riding to Lake Parsippany

Not my favorite route. If I rewrite it — should I? — at about the 17.7 mile marker, after turning right on to Ridgedale Avenue, skip the left turn onto Deforest. Continue on Ridgedale into Florham Park, then once you’re in Chatham make a left onto Fairview, which becomes Rosedale. Then once you cross over Main Street, Left onto Kings Road, left onto Van Doren for a brief stint on Main Street, Chatham, then left onto North Passaic Ave.

From there, you can follow all the way until it crosses South Orange Avenue (511, Columbia Turnpike) and becomes Walnut Street, then reconnect with the original route at West Hobart Gap Road.

The main things this does are, it cuts off some of the really boring areas, and completely skips the obnoxious section where you have to cross multiple lanes of Rt. 10, then merge back on to it. Really sucks. I’ll try mapping this out and seeing what it looks like. Watch this space.
