Late in the evening of June 30 I got a call from my parents’ neighbors. The EMTs were on the scene, trying to revive my mother, who had suffered a heart attack. After taking her to the hospital, they weren’t able to bring her back. Following was more than three weeks of settling affairs back in my home state of Ohio. It’s been a trying month.
I’m back at home now, working through family issues remotely.
