Pun intended. If you’re a fan of the NY Times’ annual weather graph, you’re going to love this. If you’re not, you should be.
WeatherSpark has interactive graphing of weather back to January 1, 1949. Sounds simple, but you get:
- hourly temperature readings throughout the day
- record highs
- record lows
- normal highs by 90th percentile and 75th percentile
- normal lows by 10th percentile and 25th percentile
- precipitation and type (rain, snow)
- cloud cover (for Cleveland, pretty much 100% since then)
All graphed in the (familiar?) sine-wave format. When a new record high or low is set or the old one is tied, it’s flagged.
There’s so much here, and it’s so interactively fun, I can’t stop clicking on stuff.

Thanks for mentioning this. I think weatherspark will easily become one of my top ten internet destinations.
