A couple more random photos from the trip LF and I made there on Friday. We started out with lunch at my favorite cafe with outdoor tables right along the water. We saw this guy from the table.

We spent some time going through the exhibits in the Hunterdon County museum.

One of the highlights of the town is the red mill, seen here through the window of the gallery. It’s said to be the most-photographed structure in New Jersey, with one minor exception.

Swimming along the top of the dam, these ducks were picturesque against their reflections.

This one was a little bit more brazen, following us around for a little while.

Gardens were blooming everywhere.

But I digress; I just like to take photos of flowers.
The main drag of town is lovely, with much lovely Victorian architecture. Like dollhouses.

The clouds that day were amazing. It often looked like a huge storm was about to hit, but it never did.

Since we were fairly close, we drove over to Pennsylvania afterwards, and crisscrossed back and forth across the Delaware over the smaller bridges at Pittstown, Milford and Riegelsville. The latter is a must-return-to spot, with an old one-lane suspension bridge, and a charming inn and restaurant right above the water.
We drove all the way back to South Orange without going on a highway once — all back roads. It was a great way to see some wonderful small towns and quiet scenery.
