Maplewood Summer Music

This Sunday at 6:30 we’ll be doing an outdoor concert in Maplewood, NJ’s Memorial Park Amphitheater.
The music starts off with the Maplewood Community Band, yours truly Musical Director, followed by “Bones Unlimited,” a trombone quartet, and finally dancing on the lawn to Swing Town. And it’s free: bring a blank or chairs, a picnic lunch…

I wonder how, with the budget fixed at 2.5% and with healthcare and energy costs rising without limit, after a few decades there is going to be money left for anything else — not just pensions, but salaries, books, maintenance, buses, administration. All the money will be going to PSE&G and the health insurance carriers.
But I guess if there are no employees, there’s no one to insure or to keep warm.
