Is closing. This is incredibly sad news, a place I’ve been going to since I was in college in the ’70s.
Christmas is overrated. Easter is what it’s all about. Enjoy. I’m playing at two services at the local church in the morning, then having LF over for a nice dinner of lamb shanks with shallots and mushrooms. Grilled vegetables, potatoes roasted with olive oil and thyme, and avacado and tomato salad round out the menu. [...]
I’m not usually a spa kind of guy, but LF and I went here today and it was awesome. About the best $35 I’ve spent in a long time.
Wednesday I’ll be joining the delightful L.F. and her family for my first-ever Passover seder. Something about the style of it is familiar.
This was covered in the Times today, and my theory is that it was the first time ever that “Stravinsky” and “Marshmallow Peeps” were used in the same sentence. After a little research, I think I’m right.
On the way back from a cold and windy hike in the Swamp, we took a walk at Loantaka.

From work, that is. Watch for some good travelogues this coming week.
