It was twenty-eight years ago today that I moved to New York from Ohio. This should be an occasion for a little introspection, to evaluate where I’ve been and where I’m going. How my goals in life have changed, and how I’ve met all the challenges life has placed before me.
Or, I could just go out and have a few beers while watching the Yankees.

This Saturday and Sunday is the annual Maplewoodstock festival. This year it’s expanded to two full days. It’s all free, the weather is supposed to be nice and there’ll be plenty of room on the lawn.
I’ll be playing at 3 on Saturday with J.J. Blues, an all-star band of local pros.
