Thank You For Waiting: My FIOS Installation Drama Continues

Despite my ear­lier rant, I decided to give Ver­i­zon another shot at installing the FIOS ser­vice. After all, it could save me $60–80 a month — money that I could cer­tainly use.

Fol­low­ing is the tragi-comic run­down of how it went down. How much patience do I really have? We’ll see — they can’t get it done today, we’ll try again Fri­day afternoon.

America’s Silliest Governor?

The pro­posal would mean pay cuts for 366 super­in­ten­dents at the end of their con­tracts, sav­ing school dis­tricts $9.8 million.

Which if you do the math is about a buck-and-a-quarter for every man, woman and child in the great state of New Jer­sey, per year.

I can hardly wait to start spend­ing a wind­fall like that.
