From Asbury Park.
After the show last night the youngster and I took a short photo safari to the once-grand beachside town of Asbury Park. She took most of them, and maybe if we’re lucky she’ll put them up on Flickr or Picasa.

The echoing Convention Center had me seeing ghosts, wondering what it must have been like in the day. It’s under renovation, which is encouraging. Lou Reed is playing there April 24. But yesterday, late on a chilly Sunday afternoon, the only other people there were a young couple that shot through on a motorized scooter!
The beach, unsurprisingly, was nearly deserted. There was a surfer out there — but they’re nuts, they go out all year.
