Those tote bags are so tacky looking, even if they are monogrammed. They look like something you’d get free at a trade show or…something even tackier than that.

I’ve gotten better looking tote bags for free with the purchase of $25 worth of cosmetics.

At least it wasn’t a monogrammed snow globe. And once everyone in your age/weight class has their de rigeur Lands End Tote Bag^tm you’ll be grateful yours is monogrammed so you don’t have to look through the contents to be sure you’ve grabbed the right one.

The stuff on the website was in the catalog i got last week. I did not notice til now that everyones head was chopped off. But i recognized many of the items because some of them were just plain odd. A snow globe, monogrammed tote bags.

I ordered the Lands End Men catalog. The front cover of that one has a picture of a guy that looks just like Anderson Cooper. Think my work is done here.

Hmmm….OK, I can see that. Flannel pajamas is a good last minute gift, albeit impersonal and not requiring much thought.

The repeated mention of flannel pajamas is the giveaway. I’m not sure what their strategy is, but they seem to be reaching an audience of men who would buy something as a gift, if they had anyone in their lives to give it to.

Sounds like this guy is projecting his hostility about his recent divorce onto this catalog and the women in it. If you get creative you can almost figure out what he’s gonna say next: “This bitch is probably getting it on with the pool guy”; “Look at the smug look on that ones face. She thinks she’s all that cuz she makes more money than me”.

Sometimes I don’t toss mine out with the junk mail. I use it for…uh…bathroom reading. (Well it’s better than using it for porn). He asked the right question but got the wrong answer. “What guy wears this kinda stuff?” What woman for that matter? That is the other question. I wonder if Lands End is attempting to reach a niche sector of the over-30-with-bulging-bellys market. I think we know who we’re talking about here.
