Historical Photos

I’m a sucker for historical photos. Thx to Kottke, who pointed to the New York City Department of Records new photo archive site.

Here’s one titled, “Building roads: Workers lay bricks to pave 28th Street in Manhattan on October 2, 1930.”

This one appealed to me because the other week in Cleveland, I was driving up Puritas Ave. and noticed that a lot of the side streets there still were red brick.
