The Inscrutability of the Culture of Wingnuttistan
Wingnutsylvanian Vice Chancellor of Propaganda Pam Geller writes on Atlas Shrugged:
Uh, whose country? Brother Obama’s latest slip of the foreign tongue.
Obama: Memorial Day is time to honor troops (hat tip Pamela H)
More than just barbecues and family time, Memorial Day is the chance to honor members of the military who made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of their country, President Barack Obama [sic, she actually chopped off "says" from the end of the quote]
Honestly, I stared at this five full minutes before I figured out what she was screeching about. Do you see it?
Apparently, by using the possessive pronoun “their” instead of “our,” Imam Obama has given the secret handshake proving that he’s not really an American and all the deepest suspicions of the Birthers are therefore true. A grateful nation exults, etc. etc. etc.
Just a few examples of proper usage, to put it all into context.
Here’s a Fox News headline, “Celebrities Who Served Their Country.”
General Patton said, “If you can’t get them to salute when they should salute and wear the clothes you tell them to wear, how are you going to get them to die for their country?”
The Soldiers and Sailors Monument in Boston, which reads
TO THE MEN OF BOSTON
WHO DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY
ON LAND AND SEA IN THE WAR
WHICH KEPT THE UNION WHOLE
DESTROYED SLAVERY
AND MAINTAINED THE CONSTITUTION
THE GRATEFUL CITY
HAS BUILT THIS MONUMENT
THAT THEIR EXAMPLE MAY SPEAK
TO COMING GENERATIONS

Or this monument erected in Fishkill, NY by the communistic and jihadist Daughters of The American Revolution:
