Just How Big Is This Oil Spill?

Nothing brings it home quite like, well, bringing it home. Paul Rademacher has put together a Google Mash-up Map that lets you superimpose the (current) extent of the spill on the city of your choice. I picked my home town of Maplewood, NJ, and found that it would go from the Pennsylvania border out to Montauk, and from West Point down to Bay Head on the Jersey shore.

Or, from my original place-of-origin near Cleveland, from a few miles outside Norwalk all the way to Erie, PA; and from the Canadian side of Lake Erie down to Canton.
