Did you know that the composer Ralph Vaughan Williams was a direct descendent of Josiah Wedgwood, and a great nephew or something of Charles Darwin?
He also wrote “A London Symphony,” among many other fine works. Here’s the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra performing the first movement, from our concert of December 20, 2009.
