Tower City

Searching for a place to walk last night (out of the rain) we ended up at Tower City, in and under the landmark Terminal Tower. Here are two of the wonderful murals high up in the lobby.

I’ve been seeing these my whole life, but never looked at them. They are allegorical murals of Cleveland, it’s history and natural resources. Painted by the same artist who did murals at the Lincoln Memorial, they have a beautiful art deco, almost Klimt-like, sensibility.
Afterwards we hung out in the lobby of the adjacent hotel. LF’s daughter, seeing this pic, was convinced the nutcracker was checking her out.
