You know the song. As this site approaches its first anniversary, we’re also approaching another milestone: 10,000 pieces of blog spam.

Mercifully, the spam filter has caught all but a few, otherwise I’d be spending the entire ten minutes of free time I get every week deleting them. As of now, the count stands at 9,611.

So what will the 10,000th piece of spam be? Interestingly, pharmaceuticals outdo sex by a very large factor. Cialis, Viagra (covers both!), valium, fioricet. Lots of gambling too. Someone is trying to sell hot water heaters by spam. The latest is batches of binary characters. Goodness knows what they’re trying to do, but I bet it’s not healthy.
