After heavy rains last week followed by temperatures close to 90 over the weekend, spring has sprung — more exploded — all at once.
Besides the white-flowering plum in the front yard, the azaleas are about to bloom in fluorescent pinks too hot for a computer display:

The lilac buds went from being the size of my thumb to this in just about four days:

The view up Parker Avenue is bright, with lots of pale greens and whites to go with the darker tones of the evergreens and maples.
Over at Seton Hall, dogwoods and cherries are blooming together.

This is the prettiest time of year around here.
