After heavy rains last week fol­lowed by tem­per­a­tures close to 90 over the week­end, spring has sprung — more exploded — all at once.

Besides the white-flowering plum in the front yard, the aza­leas are about to bloom in flu­o­res­cent pinks too hot for a com­puter dis­play:

The lilac buds went from being the size of my thumb to this in just about four days:

The view up Parker Avenue is bright, with lots of pale greens and whites to go with the darker tones of the ever­greens and maples.

Over at Seton Hall, dog­woods and cher­ries are bloom­ing together.

This is the pret­ti­est time of year around here.
