Now’s The Time
How many times in our lifetimes do we get a chance like this? A chance to vote for something new, a chance to make a difference. Nixon v. Kennedy? Ford v. Carter (OK, Carter didn’t work out so well; but in ’76 he looked like something really fresh). Other choices have been pretty stark it’s true, but the possibilities of this election after the past eight years have never looked so appealing — or so dismal.
Nate Silver‘s site has Obama at about a 99% chance to win. This is great, but as they say whenever a football team covers the spread, “that’s why they play the games.” It’s 99% if we all get out there to play the game and vote.
So get out there tomorrow and so it. Especially if you’re in a swing state, but even if you’re not. Every single vote is going to matter in building a win and building a mandate.
