Redesigning broadwaybach.org

Now in its fourth iteration since I took over in the early part of this century.

If you said, “hey that looks like Divi,” you win the big prize.

Even with all its advanced features, this theme still needs some tweaking to keep it from looking horrible in spots. The main difficulty was in getting the featured images to not be horsey. This has been a problem with a lot of ET themes, so at least I knew what to look for. So, a certain amount of CSS had to be added.

Also, I love the MailPoet plugin, but its widget looks kind of lame compared to the built-in Divi styles. But it was fairly simple to add them in.

.et_pb_post .et_post_meta_wrapper img {
float: none;
margin-right: 4%;
margin-left: 20%;
width: 50% ;
}
.et_pb_post a img {
max-height: 250px;
width: auto;
float: left;
margin-right: 2%;
}
#home_page_rep img {
max-width: 250px;
margin-bottom: 2%;
display: block;
}
#home_page_rep h2 { clear: left }
#home_page_rep article.et_pb_post { margin-bottom: 12px !important }
#page-container .et_pb_post {
clear: both !important;
float: none !important;
margin: 0 0 60px !important;
display: inline-block;
width: 100%;
}
/* make the MailPoet widgets look like the other forms */
.wysija-input p input,
p.wysija-paragraph input {
width: 100%;
padding: 16px;
border: none;
color: #999;
background-color: #eee;
font-size: 14px;
}

.widget_wysija_cont .wysija-submit {
color: 003773;
background: transparent;
padding: 0.3em 1em;
border: 2px solid;
border-radius: 3px;
-webkit-border-radius: 3px;
-moz-border-radius: 3px;
font-size: 20px;
font-weight: 500;
line-height: 1.7em !important;
cursor: pointer;
}

.widget_wysija_cont .wysija-submit:hover {
background: rgba(0,0,0,0.05);
border: 2px solid transparent;
padding: 0.3em 2em 0.3em 1em;
}

So with that, broadwaybach.org has grown up a little.
