Then and Now

AT of The Lit came across a pile of photos from our 1974 band trip to New York. It was my first time to Manhattan and it certainly changed my world view. To make a gross understatement. It was actually one of those pivotal moments you can look back on in your life and see that there was a very distinct before, and a completely different after.

Here are two shots, taken around 53rd St. and Fifth Ave.

You may ask, “McGee, were you really that skinny?” Also, what’s with the orange windbreaker. Something to do with school colors, maybe, but I don’t remember for sure.

  1. That Orange windbreaker was very 70’s. Look how much more modern you look compared to all those frumpy people on the street. As such it would be a highly coveted item amongst 20 somethings nowadays.
