If It Weren’t True I’d Never Believe It

Ben Affleck does the ’70s a solid with his thriller “Argo,” the true-life story of the rescue of six American Embassy employees stranded in post-revolutionary Iran.

Those clothes. Those eyeglasses. Those haircuts. Even the typography in of the revolutionaries’ posters and the closing credits is awesomely of-that-era.

And the movie is a roller coaster. Highly recommended for its faced pace, great performances by Alan Arkin, John Goodman and Walter White.

Solid three stars, and should win an Oscar for something. Probably for its period costumes and makeup.
