Great Swamp Late Summer Fauna

By “fauna” I mean bugs.

This dragonfly was kind enough to pose.

A spider in his web. This took us a long time to focus on, and I don’t remember if Claire or I got this one.

The butterfly hung around a long time, and let me get close enough to almost fill the frame.

His young cousin here has an unwelcome visitor.

It was a beautiful day, so we saw many of these mammals.

Frogs, green and brown:

And turtles.

Lots of turtles.

I think it’s mating season. Everywhere we looked we saw groups of them, and usually it was one or two chasing a third.
