Sure it’s a cliche and done to death. By better photographers than me. And the title is cheesy. Nevertheless, I thought some of these looked cool so here they are. Shot at Lake Surprise, Watchung Reservation.
The lily pad ones are especially painterly. Fun fact: you think you’re focussing on the water, but for the trees you’re really focussing at the distance of the trees themselves, not their reflection on the water. That’s why either the lily pads or the trees are in focus but not both.

I’m guessing I could have gotten both if I hadn’t been too lazy to set up my tripod and ratchet down the f stop.
