The Maplewood Diner

I’d been going to the Maplewood Diner ever since I moved out here in 1989. Basically, the kids’ whole life. Over the weekend, it burned down.

It was the only 24-hour diner close by, so they were open at the time. There were some injuries to cops from smoke inhalation, but they’ve already been released from the hospital.
I was a big fan of their hot italian sausage omelette. Peppered with pickled jalapenos and filled with melted mozzarella and sausages, along with some crispy home fries and coffee it’s always been my favorite Maplewood breakfast. Here’s hoping they’re back on their feet soon.
