That Was Close

Here’s me on Saturday standing under one of the ice falls in Watchung Reservation. As E. was taking this picture I was joking about how I shouldn’t hang around under here too long:

Well as it turns out literally two minutes after I walked away we heard a loud “crack,” and a big chunk of ice shattered exactly where my right foot is in this photo.


Continuing to tempt fate, here I am about to shoot one of the photos looking down at the abandoned quarry site.

E. was taking this with her fingers crossed, and trying to fill the area with good karmic thoughts. I guess it worked, I’m still here.
